For coffee shops and cafés
Be the café that shows up when someone nearby wants brunch.
Most café customers decide on the spot, from a map on their phone. Start with what you want to be known for, whether breakfast, brunch or coffee to go, and see where you show up.

What nearby customers search for
Café searches are short, local and often urgent: what is open, what is close, what serves the thing they want right now.
Example searches
- coffee near me
- brunch near me
- cafe open now
- flat white near me
- cafe with wifi near me
What to grow
- Breakfast and brunch. Morning and weekend trade that people plan around.
- Weekday lunch. A regular crowd from offices and schools nearby.
- Catering and office orders. Larger orders that deserve a page of their own.
Walk-ins and orders
How a café sells
Mostly walk-ins at the counter, with some pre-orders, catering and delivery-app orders. Nobody books a flat white, so being visible on the map, with the right hours and menu, matters more than a booking path.
What OwnerCue can read for a café today
Reads today
- The free competitor report: where you and up to three nearby rivals appear in the same Google searches, and what their pages show that yours do not.
- Website visits, the booking, order or call clicks you already track, and the searches you appear in, from Google Analytics and Search Console, read-only.
- A sales export from your till, point-of-sale or payment system: one row per sale, with its date and amount.
Not yet
- Walk-ins and orders as records of their own. There is no walk-in or order export yet, and the booking import expects appointments.
- Which items sold, such as how many brunch plates. A sales export is read one row per sale, without line items.
- Delivery-app and marketplace orders. No delivery platform is connected.
Every source and its status
| Source | Status | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Local competitor report | Available, free | Where you and up to three nearby competitors appear in the same Google searches, sampled around your area on phone and desktop, and what their public pages show that yours do not. Each report shows how many checks completed out of those planned. Sample businesses show sample data. |
| Weekly plan | Available in the pilot | Up to three supported actions a week, each with its reason, its evidence and a review date. Fewer, or none, when the evidence does not support more. |
| Google Analytics 4 | Available, read-only | Website visits and the events you already track, such as booking, order or call clicks. |
| Google Search Console | Available, read-only | The Google searches your website appears in, with clicks and impressions. |
| Sales and booking CSV import | Available, file import | Upload a sales or bookings export from your till, point-of-sale, booking or payment system. Its columns are matched to OwnerCue's fields and previewed first, and rows that cannot be read are set aside with a reason rather than guessed. |
| Google Ads | Available, read-only reporting | Your campaigns' spend, clicks and conversions as Google reports them. Reporting only: OwnerCue never creates, changes or pauses a campaign. |
| Fresha and Square | CSV import only | Export a CSV from Fresha or Square and upload it. There is no direct connection to either. |
| Other till, booking, payment and email tools | Not connected | Tell us what you use. We will say plainly whether OwnerCue can read it, before you rely on it. |
A café that wants a busier weekend brunch
The owner picks brunch and the streets within a short walk.

The kind of finding the free report shows
Competitors appear in local results where you were not observed (brunch)
The question
When someone nearby searches for brunch, does this café appear in the map results?
The evidence
In the completed checks for brunch near the café, two nearby cafés appear in the local results and this café was not observed. Separately, none of its fetched pages mentions brunch in a title or heading.
The week's action
Publish the brunch menu as text on its own page, with the hours it is served, and link it from the home page. Check that the Google listing shows the same hours. Record the change.
What it will not show
Whether more people came in for brunch. That needs sales records by day, and a busier weekend can have many causes.
Illustration of the kind of finding the free report can show, for a made-up business. No real business, customer result or point-of-sale connection is implied.
